    Description

Iron Man has a suit, Wolverine heals himself, and we have our immune system. A bunch of little cells who go out and fight the little bad guys. But everyone could use a little kick. The ImmunoKick uses natural ingredients to help your little guys and give yourself an immune boost.

    • Pelargonium is a South African plant that is used for many functions, acute and chronic ear, nose and throat infections, bronchitis, colds and flu, coughs, gastrointestinal complaints, fatigue, fevers, pneumonia, respiratory infections, rhinopharyngitis, sinusitis, sore throats, tonsillitis and weakness.

It has also been shown (Kolodziej, 2011)  effective against a range of viruses including seasonal influenza A virus strains (H1N1, H3N2), respiratory syncytial virus, human coronavirus, parainfluenza virus and coxsackie virus. Did we mention coronavirus? A virus is different to bacteria in that it can’t live on its own, and needs a host and cells to replicate. Pelargonium prevents the virus from multiplying.

    • Propolis or “bee glue” has many immune boosting, bug killing functions. It works directly on viruses by not allowing their multiplication and at the same time it encourages the immunological system on the accelerated production of antibodies. Propolis has been shown to be an immunomodulator, and is used for canker sores and infections caused by bacteria (including tuberculosis), by viruses (including flu, H1N1 “swine” flu, and the common cold), by fungus, and by single-celled organisms called protozoans. Propolis has been proven effective against many bacterias and viruses. (Full study)
      It is:

      • anti cancer
      • anti diabetic
      • anti bacterial
      • anti viral
      • anti parasitic
      • anti fungal
      • antioxidant
      • anti inflammatory
      • immunomodulatory
    • Olive leaf has been used for thousands of years, even mentioned in the bible. Olive Leaf extract is antidiarrheal, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-cancer, anti-diabetic and has pro-cardiovascular effects.

However, olive leaf, or olea europea, extract has an immunemodulatory effect. [6] Olive leaf increases the production of CD8+ and NK (natural killer) cells. It is also able to modulate T-cells (regulatory cells). [7] Therefore olive leaf increases the bodies immune response to viruses, among its many other benefits.

    • Licorice is a common herb which has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. More than 20 triterpenoids and nearly 300 flavonoids have been isolated from licorice. Recent studies have shown that these metabolites possess many pharmacological activities, such as antiviral, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antitumor and other activities.
We are focusing on the anti-viral properties. During the SARS outbreak, licorice root was found to be effective in preventing the replication of the virus. [1] [2] However, in a study on patients infected with COVID-19, traditional chinese medicine (TCM) was used to great effect, particularly decoctions that included licorice root. [3]Licorice root effectively prevents the replication of the virus, thus allowing the immune system to rid the body of the virus, usually flushed through the stool. There is some concern that licorice can exacerbate high blood pressure, but that is only the case in very large doses of licorice.

    Coronavirus aka COVID-19 aka SARS-CoV-2?

The coronavirus as it is commonly known, is in fact the name of a family of viruses, similar to rhinovirus and rotorvirus. Corona is latin for crown, which describes its shape. COVID-19 is the particular strain, which has now been shown to be a variant of SARS which occurred in 2003, and has now been clarified to be SARS-CoV-2.
